This is for all the n00bs. (Yes, I was one once as well!) A lot of ppl seem to be asking about this lately, so I figured I'd do ppl a good thing and tell you in my own words how to do it. I've also provided a demo link so you can use the font I have on my PSP so you can test this out to see how it works before you actually choose the font you really want.
here's how you change your font w/ Flashmod:
You're gonna need 18 Files in all. You wanna find the ".TTF" file which represents your favorite font. Once you find that font and donwload it or w/e, you need to download this program:
http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=21119
which converts .ttf (what windows uses for fonts) to .pgf (what the PSP uses for fonts) Once you get the .pgf file, you want to create 17 copies of that file. (Hit right click>copy then hit ctrl+v 17 times and it will paste your copies.) Then, you wanna rename all of your files like this, starting the the top one:
jpn0.pgf
kr0.pgf
itn0.pgf
itn1.pgf
itn2.pgf
itn3.pgf
itn4.pgf
itn5.pgf
itn6.pgf
itn7.pgf
itn8.pgf
itn9.pgf
itn10.pgf
itn11.pgf
itn12.pgf
itn13.pgf
itn14.pgf
itn15.pgf
Put all of those files in a folder on your ms0 called "fontmod". Go fire up Flashmod and change your font!
You can find flashmod v0.3 here:
http://dl.qj.net/Flashmod-v3-Organization-Apps-PSP-Homebrew-Appli...
and here is my demo font:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=INVLFRGD
The font is called English 111 Vivace BT and it rocks! A lot of fonts don't fit, numbers are cut out and letters are too big. This font is perfect all the way around.
I hope some of you can use this. :)

You have to put the files in a folder on your ms0 (root) of your PSPs Memory Stick. Call that folder "fontmod". And yes, you change all 18 copies of that original file in that fontmod folder to all of those names listed.

Yea, you can do this in the emu FW thru DevHook. Just go here copy and paste:
ms0\dh\271\flash0\font
Just make sure you don't get rid of teh gb3s1518.bwfon
Have at it, mate. If you want a really fancy font, say so.

ok, this gave me a semi brick. basically i changed the words of the XMB and then i pressed change words. flashmod then said it was done, it brought me back to the main screen and froze. i couldnt see any of the XMB icons, it was just the backgroung and the time, so i put it in recovery mode and now i have 1.5 so i was wondering if i should try flashmod again and see if it will be more effective, or update to 3.03 oe-b and try it again... any help would be apreciated

OMG you guys look at how old this thread is. This is the old crude method.
@dukeiduke
you bricked because you cant edit the topmenu labels in 3.03 OE-C without having a certain topmenu_plugin file.
@paul
i dont know if u can change font in 3.10 OE-A. i know certain customizations in 3.10 OE-A will cause a partial brick.

I Can Confirm that it does indead work on 3.10 oe-a
I just Tryed it and it worked.
Changing Fonts Will not Brick your psp.
If you have 3.10 oe-a just go into recovery mode by holding r1 in cold boot then go to Toggle F0 usb mode
and go to font and replade all the fonts numbering 1-15 dont wory about the jpn or kr font leave them as is.
Once done you will have your Font Installed.
PSP hack Confimed
If Your To Scared to Try it i will and ill tell you if it works

Yea but again, when I wrote this thread this was the method. (This method was out before XFlash was even created yet.) All you have to do now w/ OE is change out the ltn0.pgf. That's it. If you wanna go a step further, you can dummy the gb3s1518.bwfon and jpn0.pgf files w/ the ltn0.pgf file to save some space. In doing this, you will gain 2.5MB of free space in your F0. :D
Dummying the gb3s1518.bwfon and jpn0.pgf files:
1.) First, copy ltn0.pgf from F0 to desktop.
Next, highlight the gb3s1518.bwfon file in F0. Hit F2. It will go into rename mode. Hit CTRL + C to copy the name of the gb3s1518.bwfon file.
2.) Go to desktop, highlight ltn0.pgf and hit F2. It will be in rename mode. Now hit CTRL + V to paste the name of .bwfon onto ltn0.pgf. Now ltn0.pgf has become gb3s1518.bwfon
3.) Now, go back to F0 and make another copy of ltn0.pgf. Paste it to desktop again.
4.) In F0,highlight jpn0.pgf and press F2 once again to go into rename mode. Copy the name.
5.) Go to desktop and rename the newest copy of ltn0.pgf (the one you last copied to desktop). So now, ltn0.pgf should have become jpn0.pgf.
6.) Take the gb3s1518.bwfon and the jpn0.pgf files - cut them from desktop and paste them into F0. Say YES to overwrite.
7.) You just scored 2.5MB of F0 space!
