I have been using DVDShrink3.2 and Nero 6.3 to copy my dvds now all of sudden, DVDShrink still reads the files ok but when it tranfers over to nero to burn them, nero always spits my blank disks out and says an error has occurred and has failed to burn. I have not changed anything, have even bought the same disks that I have already burnt about 30 dvds onto but now i can get nero to burn. have uninstalled and re-installed both DVDShrink and Nero but no luck. attaching a log from nero -

This latest version of Nero is full of bugs, I recommend you uninstall, run this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then install 7.0.8.2 a more stable version from here
http://www.filehippo.com click on Nero 7.2.0.3 and then select 7.0.8.2 for a bug free version

These discs are crap, try some verbatim or Sony (made in japan)

    slow to 4X

@Gwen..... what does [bold]KEY_HARDWARE_ERROR[/bold] mean? looked up in other forums and most say it's the drive going bad. what do you think?

Nero 7.2.0.3 is throwing up all kind of errors, usually if the process I outlined is followed these errors seem to disappear.
I will look that error up and get back to you.

I know it appears in quite a few logs that I look at, I ignore it because normally updating, Nero or firmware seems to eliminate it...thats only my experience. Cheers.

well....... in other forums this error comes up for people that tried to update their firmware..... at least that's what I seen in a few forums and just assumed this! I can't believe that sooooooooo many errors are happening with a full new version of Nero (7.2.03b or what ever!) I hardly use it anymore! I even got an error on a copy of a copy! I wanted to copy an RW disk to a +R taiyo yuden disk and Nero got caught up! I used Blindwrite and it worked flawlessly! My evaluation of this version of Nero..... [bold]it sucks![/bold]

My opinion of it is much worse than that, nearly every log file posted concerns 7.2.0.3...a new one is Buffer overflow...but there's far too many so I recommend this, all I do now is paste this, saves me typing in every log.

hey borisbear what are your pc stats?

under resourced pc's seem to be the go these days or over use while trying to burn.

can you do a ctrl+alt+del for me and then look at the next screen that pops open and in the left bottom corner tell us how many processors are running.

Currently you have squat memory to do anything, so i'm not surprised that you have issues burning. If you want to keep doing this you will eventually have a burner that wont work or a pc due to the strain you are putting on them.It takes memory to keep evrything going at optimun capacity but if you have other programns running then your pc has to allocate an even amount of memory to keep the processors functioning.

A temporay might be to increase your ram to 1024 and get a better processor

Have you tried any "burns" since your last posting, if so what were the results.
