You can get a decent projector at Staples or Sam's Club, for around $800 to $1000, if there's not much in the way of Home Theater stores, in your area. Depends on if you want LCD or DLP, etc.

Think about this........... with a projector, you may only want to watch movies, concerts, or special sports events. They're not really meant for regular tv viewing. The life of the bulb will go quickly, if used for regular tv viewing, and the bulbs can cost $400 to $800 each. Keep that in mind.

I've never studied the specs of projectors, so someone else can probably help you with that, better than me.
    Good luck! Keep us posted?

I have also heard of some $200 bulbs.
If I was looking a projector, the price of replacement bulbs, and if bulb is replacable by me (or [bold]HAD[/bold] to use a service call), would be a major selling point.
    Good luck!
