    Hi

Is it possible to use a mix of images (whether png, jpg or gif) amidst some movie footage? I'm making a short documentary styled piece and would like to use some old photo's in the film.

This is different to a slide show which cant have multiple audio tracks and movie scenes.

Maybe there is a way of saving images in the transition part?

    Cheers Ross

I like to do the very same thing. What I do is use the "Make a Video Slideshow" function first. What this does is convert the image into a single image video clip. I set the duration rather long so I can trim it to the desired length later.

Next I start assembling my video. I add the various clips and arrange them in the order I want, adding transitions and video effects. The still image video clips are added just as I would add any other clip to the compilation.

When using Nero Vision, you can also simply start out by first adding your regular video clips first. After you get them added, click "Make Slide Show. This will let you make a add images to a slide show and once completed you can just clck "Next" and the Slideshow will be added.

Either way you end up making a few single image slideshows and mixing them in with your video clips.

After the slideshow image is added you can add transitions and set durations. You can see why you leave it long- it's easier to trim it down than to make it longer than it originally was.

I actually have a short video on this page that I did this on. The part after the skeletons are simple images with transitions added. R rated!
