I have deleted every instance of "nero scout" in my registry and the thing is still in my system tray. Help! BTW, I am using Nero 7.2.0.3b and yes I unchecked it in the program.

Remove scout this way. Go start/run then type this regsvr32 /u "%COMMONPROGRAMFILES%\Ahead\Lib\MediaLibraryNSE.dll" Restart the computer and scout should no longer be present.
