when i go to my "end task" and look at the Processes....ther are about 20 to 25 things in that window..it is using up all of my cpu's any idea on wha ti can do?
Well cpnsider yourself lucky i have 40!! The reason for the high number is because there is alot of processes required to run windows. therefore a fresh windows Xp would probably have around 15-20 So dont worry!! If there using up all your cpu maybe this is a good time to upgrade! Whats in your current comp?
Try going to the run command and typing "msconfig" (with out inverted commas) you can then disable things that teh PC starts when it boots, this will cut down the number of things running in the back ground that aren't needed. Remove teh tick from things like real player or your dvd player they can always be started through the usual ways anyway. Hope this helps Adh Mor (good luck)
