Ok... I wan't a new video card for my newer system(see my sig.) My X850XT is freaking awesome but I wan't some more horse power as my video card is actually bottlenecking my CPU a little. I have over-clocked my video card and gotten huge improvements in framerate.

My X850XT cost $160 at newegg.com My new budget is $200. I have the money on hand. I make about $220 a week but I have to pay car insurance, groceries and the like so I can only go a bit over. Try to keep it within the two hundred mark unless it's an outrageous deal.

Find an ATi card if you can as that happens to be my chipset of choice.

as you can see i use 2 radeon x850 pros on a dual pci express set up... 2 graphics cards joined in to 1 output.. 2x 512 mb = a gig of graphics... little expensive but well worth it

I'm leaning more towards a single card solution as my mobo has only one pci-e slot. 2 cards = new mobo = way over budget... thought the x850pro was only AGP... learning new stuff every day.

Anyhoo, has anyone seen anything in the X1800 series for around $200? I'm even willing to take something in the GeForce 7 series if the price is right...

Better but still not perfect. If in doubt ask a mod!

Ok, I guess I've decided to go with the X1800GTO as it seems to be a much better performer than my card(HDR here I come!)

Ordered it to day at about 4:00PM in Wisconsin. If I know newegg it'll be here either by Friday or Monday. I'll tell you guys how it goes when It gets here.

I read some online reviews and I cancelled on Saturday. Luckily they got my cancellation notice soon enough.

Turns out that I was making a HUGE mistake... jumped the gun on this one(Stupid! >:{)

The clocks are better but performance is mediocre. I think I should have checked it out before buying.

Probably my stupidest moment right here. All you guys were probably like: (*snicker*he's such a jerk*snicker*)

I see now that the X1800GTO actually pretty much matches or surpasses the performance of my X850XT by quite a bit. I think maybe I might wanna give it a try. SM 3.0 would be a nice change.

Sorry! :p stupid week. But I will definitely consider getting the X1800GTO.
