if you have got 50
just try one,
if you burn it right and it works, then you can use them,
if you burn it right and it doesnt work, well it looks like you gonna have to buy some +r's

Josh, Do you know anything about the different types of 111d firmware, like 1.29 and the "dangerous brothers 1.29"? If you don't know about dangerous brother Google "Dangerous Brothers firmware" Any help would be appreciated

I dont know anything about the dangerous brothers frimware,
but i have updated with the official pioneer firmware v1.29 and it works fine.

Hey the tutorial at the beginning is great! many thanks! Just one thing though, when you make a boot disk, does it have to be a floppy or can it be done using a regular cd-r? I ask this because my floppy drive is dead... Please reply, thanks

So i use wxripper to create the iso. i download the ss file from www.ss.softmodfiles.net.
i merge them using ss merger.
when i open up write image from clone cd, it tells me "layerbreak=1913760:" after i select the dvd file and does not allow me to continue to burn?

You have to make sure the little cd icon in the middle left is highlighted. Click that and then you should be able to burn. I think it has little numbers on it also.

i can click that , but when i select the ".dvd" file thats when i get the layerbreak error messege.
then the next button becomes deselected and the only option i can click is cancel

I had this problem now i use imgburn but u need to change the sectors on this by clicking on tools/write then click on the sectors in LO box and put in there 1913760 and make sure u burn at 2.4x

Guys..Looking for some help please.
I have a premodded 360 from Canada with NME 1.1 chip.
I am downloading prepatched iso images from newsgroups.
Media used is Verbatim DVD+R DL & Sony DVD+R DL. (neither works)
DVD Burner LG GDS-H22L. (18x with lightscribe)
I have tried Clone cd (registered) Image burn, DVD Decrypter & Nero
Burning at 2x speed
Windows XP x/SP2.
I think I might set the record for coasters. I have a premodded PS2 and rarely make a coaster. At first I was getting the error messsage "please insert a valid xbox 360 disc" Now I get a message stating "undetectable disk".
Is my burner compatible with the neceassy steps required to make a back up??????????

I have the NME1.2 installed on mine and the reason you cant get the games to work is that the NME chip needs special program to patch the image with. Go to this site http://www.nme-360.com/howto.html and have a look at step 2. Grab NME aSSociat0r and run the program. Click the convert tab, locate the image and click convert. See if that works, it did for me.

BOOKTYPE, be sure to set the booktype to dvd-rom !!!!!!!!! (specially if you dont have a pioneer dvr-111d burner)

Tried to make a copy of PGR3 that came bundled with my Xbox 360.
I used the wxripper method with a dismantled dvd drive and used The Perfect Storm UK as my "swap disc".
The swap disc size was 7.70Gb
I downloaded my ss.bin file for the PAL version of the game, loaded it into SSMerger and merged the files to get my .dvd file
Everything seemed ok, apart from the checking of the MD5 info with the database. I believe that the database is no longer online, therefore it is impossible to connect to it. - is this correct?
If so, is there another way to check the MD5 of the ripped iso?
I tried the disc in my 360 - modded dvd firmware of course! but get a dirty disc error. I burned it with a pioneer 111d.
Any help?

NEED HELP ASAP!!!
I have a pre modded xbox 360 which works great. No problems with original games or burned 360 games I get from downtown. I have DVD Decrypter and I can burn copied 360 games all day but I can't burn original xbox 360 games. I have a dual layer burner and I'm trying to get this right. Even on DVD Decrypter it's not burning the dvd. Well it burns just a section of it. I need some help.

for this can u burn PAL games to work on NTSC J consoles,,,

the 360 is region locked...the only way you'll be able to play PAL games on a Japan console is if the game itself is region free.

Hey guys, I have everything necessary for backing up my xbox 360 game. Also, I signed up at newsgroups.com but I dont understand it, heh. I would just like you to orient me where to download the games if its not a problem. Also, to find the sslist? The website is deleted or something, dont knows. THanx
