    anybody know of any good deals on cd-r/w? I need to back up a lot of items. Also what brand would you recommend?

    In-store or online? Specials get placed here, in the CD-R media section often. In-store: sunday paper is stacked with ads like officemax, staples, circuit city (my preferences.) To find good brands, read the stickied threads here in bold (in the CD-RW forum.)

    Dont use CD-RWs for long term backups or storage . You will lose your data. Stay with CD-Rs to go the distance....
