Boost pc

    i have Biostar M5SIB (PB Pegase) motherboard with a processor amd athlon 1 ghz , 256 ram , 16 mb internal vga and 40 gb hd what else can i do to boost it up ? Like can i transfer some memory from the ram to the video card or somethin like that ?

    For starters I would get a descent video card(onboard video uses valuable ram) and upgrade the memory to at least 512mb even better would be 1 gig.These upgrades would make a significant difference.
    You might want to just save the money toward a new computer as these upgrades will cost you.

    well yes thats true but i just want to use it for watching movies but there is a problem and that is about the video card i cant put another one couse it is from the old slots i doesnt have an AGP slot ! Cant i update the ram to 512 mb and transfere some ram to the vga card ?

    Most of the integrated cards are limited to how much ram they can share. Your best bet would be to pick up a PCI gfx card (off ebay probably) and slap it in there. Wont be the best performance, but it will smoke the integrated card. Something like this.

    I ran an FX5200 for a long time and was happy with it. You can even OC them a bit.

    Thanx a lot . I wanna ask you another thing can you tell me something ambout over clocking a mother board or a video card how do i do it , is it safty for the pc ?

    Dont take this the wrong way, but use the search function on the site. There are TONS of pages about OCing. No point in repeating what has already been said over and over again.
    Google is your friend as well. You should be able to find all the info you need to get a general understanding. Once you have some base knowledge, I'm sure you will have some more specific questions. Post them here (in a new thread) and we will enlighten you, grasshopper.
