    Hey,

Just finally installed my new computer and pretty impressed apart from a few things!

Well basicaly something really weird is happening when i say try and drag a open tab from one end of the screen to the other it goes very slowly and refreshes in intervals instead of it being a smooth glide.
Also when im scrolling down an internet page it does the same thing and ive lost the smooth glide!.

This to me felt like a processor problem.
    However i am running a:
Amd 3700+ San diego core and really that should cope with dragging a tab!!
Its soo fast everywhere else just thats really annoying me.

I miss the smooth old glide i was getting out of my good ol sempron so what should i do.
Ive come with all my problems to you guys so hopefully this will be my final one.
    Cheers lecsiy.
P.s if anyone cares and knows all my harddrive problems have been fixed!!
    Thanks

Usually screen refreshes are a function of your video card, not the processor, so I would check and see if you have the latest drivers for your video card. Usually the latest drivers are not on the cd that came with the video card so I would go to Start/Run and type dxdiag and go to the video tab and see the driver version and compare that to what's available on the manufacturers web site.

lecsiy, congrats on the harddrive issues being resolved, what was the problem?
Also, what video card are you using on the new computer? If it's a Nvidia card go straight to the website and get your drivers from them,as Xian stated "Usually the latest drivers are not on the cd that came with the video card."

    Best of luck! B.W.

Also make sure you install the chipset driver for the new MOBO.

lecsiy , go to device manager a make sure your video drivers are installed ,if you see yellow questions marks anywhere then you have drivers you need to install

Thanks everyone it was a driver problem!!
    hehe you guys are great!
And the hardrive problems were solved by installing a new old 6gb hardrive as the master and my good old 160gb as the slave and taking off the drivers from the 160gb one and then changing them round.
Wow homebuild comps are just great arnt they!
