My current motherboard only will only allow me to connect 2HD's, CD and a DVD drive. (ATA connections)

I want to add another 300gig HD to my PC. Can I just go out and buy a PCI IDE card and attach the drive to it?

Yep, be sure to buy a good card. Read the reviews.

If you dont have the drive yet, look for a SATA card instead. (I love spending other peoples money!)
