    Hi,

I'm very very new to this so apologies if i'm being stupid!!

I have just purchased a canon mv940 and i'm having terrible difficulty capturing the video from it.

I have bought a firewire cable which is 6 pin to 4 pin. I have connected the power supply to the camcorder, attached the firewire cable to the pc and camcorder, turned the camcorder on put it in play mode. At the moment i'm using microsoft movie maker.

Having done all of this Movie Maker can not find any devices!!!

I'm very frustrated as i know it must be something very simple.

    Can anyone help me????

    Thanks

well sorry for the late response
Do you have the drivers for your firewire card installed correctly? check your device manager.
