Hi. Sorry for creating an ftp thread, but I have read many tutorials and have tried about everything, but I just cannot get my PC to ftp to my xbox. My xbox is softmodded with Evox and I am definately using a crossover cable to connect the xbox to my ethernet port. Here are my configurations:

    PC:
    IP Address: 192.168.2.101
    Default gateway: 192.168.2.1
    DNS: 192.168.1.1

    Xbox:
    IP Address: 192.168.2.102
    Default gateway: 192.168.2.1
    DNS: 192.168.1.1

I typed the settings into FlashFXP, but it just times out. Here is the message I get:
    WinSock 2.0 -- OpenSSL 0.9.7g 11 Apr 2005
    [R] Connecting to 192.168.2.102 -> IP=192.168.2.102 PORT=21
[R] Connection failed (Connection timed out)
[R] Delaying for 120 seconds before reconnect attempt #1
    [R] Retry attempt Aborted

I would greatly appreciate if someone can help. Thanks!

You might need either a better FXP system, like the pro version, or a new evox. but the pro version fixed this on my pc to xbox.

Simple solution....set the IP on the pc to the default gateway on the xbox...and don't set a default gateway on the pc..

Subnet needs to be 255.255.255.0 on both and make sure there is an exception set for the ftp app in the firewall settings..then reboot the xbox and it should work fine

I tried setting the ip on the pc to the gateway on the xbox, but it's still not working. I've tried about every possible configuration, but nothing works. Also, my firewalls are off. Here's what I have now:

    PC:
    IP: 192.168.2.101
    Default Gateway: 192.168.2.1
    DNS: 192.168.1.1

    Xbox:
    IP: 192.168.2.107
    Default Gateway: 192.168.2.107
    DNS: 192.168.1.1
