I was interested in checking Spellforce 2 out too, but even the demo uses Starforce protection. I refuse to install any game that has that protection system. The retail North American release is supposed to use TAGES, not Starforce like the European version, but since I can't try the demo without installing Starforce I am unlikely to buy the full retail version. Maybe when it hits the bargain bins @ $20 I might buy it but I am not going to take a chance on buying a game at full retail price without trying it out first, and since I refuse to install Starforce I can't try the demo.
Yeah man, So i bought Might and Magic V after I found out they dropped starforce for securRom. I install the game and it crashes every 5 secounds. I figure the first patch would fix this. I updated it (took them a month to release the patch) It still crashes a lot. It is happening to tons of people. I dont get. I wish I could just return the game.
