Hi, I just recently got Comcast cable (6megs down/ 364 kb up) and I keep on getting internet outages. I've noticed that the connection is down from 11 A.M.- 8 P.M. I called Comcast and they said they need to come see it and charge $100 first. I'm thinking that theres some bussiness or something that's interfering with my connection because they have some super cable and it weaken the signal of my connection or seomthing. Do you think I can just get a signal booster for my modem so it works again?

Please reply soon as paying $60 a month for internet that I can only use when I'm not there to use is useless. :( Qwest never had this problem even though it costs the same but is only 1.5 megs down/ 1 meg up

hmm.. this is bad problem not solved. guess I rushed too soon to judge but it's not working again even with the signal booster. Before the signal booster I was getting -19dB down so I thought that was the problem since some forums told me it should be between -15dB to 15dB. With the signal booster (amplifier) I'm getting -4dB and still clearer pics for my tv but its still not connecting.
