Hello all. I was wondering if anyone had any information for me. I purchased a Dell Media Center computer a few months back and have been trying to contact them about my problem for a while now, and still haven't been able to talk to an actual person. What I want to do is be able to connect my VCR to the PC so that I can convert my old VHS tapes to DVD, and I have all the proper connections, I just can't seem to find how to connect to the VCR, or anything of that sort. is there a way to do this? please help.

I would suggest connecting it through one of the inputs on your tv tuner. I have an HP Media Center which has coax, s-video and RCA inputs. Once connected, you should be able to use Media Center to record your VHS tapes. However, the format Media Center records to is very large, so you may consider using a different video capture software, which will also make it easier to burn to DVD.

Yeah, that's what I did, and Media Center doesn't detect it.
