linux server

    I am going to make a CS server, so I taking my old pc, and put a linux on is. Is there a lite 1 cd linux that is good for servers, and free.

    I want it on 1 cd because I have to use my cds for other things such as school, etc.

    Ubuntu comes on 1 cd, probably not the lightest version of Linux around though. Their old install cd used to offer a server option, which basically was the Linux base with no GUI.

    They also offer a server version, which comes with a few addons for webhosting etc.

    Or you coul go for a really small version ie, DSL or Puppy Linux.

    1 CD is good enough for all the above.

    or theres DSL or theres slax or theres slackware... you could also try... knoppix...
