my sister just gave me her lap top and her wireless card with a linksys wireless-G 2.4ghz 54 mbps router, so i was wondering how would i go on setting up the cables and she lost the 2 software cd's that came with them, i tried looking online but the only thing i was able to get was how to install it, but no where could i find the installation software, any help would be greatly appriciated

Hi, is the card installed and detected in o/s? If it is, plug the ethernet(if you use a cable modem)cable into the Wan port of the router. Log in to the router following the installation instructions and use the setup wizard.

Hi, You have to be precise.............what software for what?
Get the model from the W/netork card and install the drivers. If you have XP SP2 on your laptop.......you will have a wireles configuration utility.........the router needs no software. Go to the computer and see if there are Available Wireles Netorks in Range
If there is, connect to it. If there is not...you will have to log into the router using the linksys setup instructions.

my lap top recognizes the wireless g network card, but my desktop doesnt recognize the router, i went under the add hardware and already installed button, and i searched and searched under the list and there was nothing close to the router
