I never been a pc gamer the only game i ever really played was oregon trail and hitman, Can you guys please list the must have games for your pc? I dont care how old they are. I been looking at some Abandonware. Also does anyone play these games with the keyboard? or does every one use a controller? note; Im not a big fan of RPG games, Im more of a shooter Thank you

sorry, I looked, all I could find was a thread for the BEST pc game. Sorry again for the newbie question this is my first time in this thread, I looked at about 20 pages I missed the Pc gaming world, I didnt have a PC. I just wanted to no what I missed I was hopeing some one could list the oldies but goodies and some good must have games that only came out for the PC. ps. Thank you xXx
I would say the Farcry is a must have for a shoooter. It is only about $20 now. Another game I seem to play everyday is Warcraft 3 (strategy) and I have had it for four years?? I have F.E.A.R but the missions seem too repetative. Rome total war is a crazy turn/strategy based game. If I could only have three games those would probably be the three I pick.
I got bored with HW3 rather fast. Now its hard for me to play games like that when you have much better looking games out there graphic wise.
dark forces 1! And all the "sequals" to it, like jedi outcast 1 and 2. I like star wars games so.. also republic commando and star wars battlefield 1 and 2.
and i can't believe anyone failed to mention these... counterstrike and half life 1 (if u can get it to work) and 2, the port of halo is good too i've heard. I use a controller when I can because I was a console gamer first. Now MS has had the brilliant idea of using USB for their wired 360 control, so they make one you can use for windows, or the 360, its the same control, you only need the drivers if you already have a wired x360 control, it should serve you well.
i know your not much of an rpg kind of guy...but new and [bold]OLD[/bold] kinda got me excited..the best game i know that even exists is [bold]Quest For Glory I \aka Hero's Quest[/bold] anyone else play?? for DOS,
i liked all the later zork games too, the now-dead adventure stuff is great, although i'm speaking of the graphical ones, like return to zork, zork nemesis, and zork grand inquisitor, they're pretty entertaining and they will work with dosbox. And don't forget all the great Scumm games from Lucasarts, also classics! Day of the tentacle, sam and max, full throttle, curse of monkey island, (the following two are 3d not scumm) escape from monkey island, and of course grim fandango! I really like the "classics" so that is where these late 90's and earlier suggestions come from.
no, it wasn't, i need to pick that up now that i have a pc that can run it well. I need to get into online gaming
yea i dont even have it for computer since well my computer sucks (gotta wait til christmas to get a new really nice one) but ive got it for 360 and i love online mode i dont really like campain mode at all so i wouldnt expect much out of that unless you want to play it online then its like a whole different completely awsome game
