Ok guys i need a link or somethin that can help me locate and buy a burner that will burn full sized dvd-r's at 2x speed and mini dvd-r's at 2x speed(I Just Need 1x and 2x speeds only i know dvd burners today support 1x 2x 4x and up and all the speeds but i just need 1x and 2x speeds) and will back up gamecube back ups without a prob and they work.now i know nowa days burners keep getting faster and faster(16x speed i belive is the highest now) and that it might be hard to find a dvd burner that will burn at 2x speed but there has to be one on the net somewhere that i could buy.if someone could help me i would greatly apriciate it.thanks.

well i have a sony dru 800-a internal dvd burner and i have 1-4x ridita dvd-rs and it always burns them at 4x speed.i use nero 6.6 by the way and 2x burning speed wont even show as a option for burning just 4x.if i pop in for example a ps2 game to back up it says 2x but when it goes to actually burn it on to the dvd-r it burns at 4x.ive enen tried on the fly burning and it still does it so its like i have to have 2x speed blank dvds only and just cuz the drive may support 2x besides the other speeds it doesnt mean it will do it or you have to have that speed blank disc and not multi speed ones.this is from my expreience.

not to sure about the quality of the Pioneer DVR-104, but i would like to know if anyone knows why in somecase when the media is labled as 1X, 2X, etc... the min you can burn is 4X. my sony DRU-700A does the same thing with certain types of dvd-r's.
