i have no idea what linux is.i think you need it for your xbox if its modded.please someone tell me what linux is.
it is an operating system (your probably using microsoft's windows or mac) they too are operating systems. The great thing about Linux from what I'm reading is that its open source meaning basically all the software is shareware and free to the public... and free to change anyway you deem fit... plus its high powered (faster) and virtually virus free... but I'm still taking a crash course about it sorry I cant help more.
As you say Skitzy it is an operating system that can be used instead of windows or Mac. Any changes made to a linux/open source program are subject to the GPL and your changes (be they good or bad) are to be made available to the public. I have SUSE 10 and XP pro running on a dual boot setup and no problems with either. Linux is a lillte less user friendly than XP, but thats what makes it more intriging as you have to go and find out what to do sometimes. It is virtually virus free, but there are anti virus programs out there for linux for the paranoid ones amongst us. Danycracks - as far as i am aware you will never see linux on an Xbox (Gates would have kittens if it were LOL).
They found away to install Damn Small Linux on the xbox and debian I think......But I think Danycacks is talking about a linux save..That you load to hack into the xbox
