    Hi zaphodg
    Which part of Nero are you using? Like Recode, Express Vision etc.
    What's the make & model of your burner?
    How about the brand of media you are using - which ones & what's the rated speed? Example Sony +R 8x.

    I use ridata theyre rated 8x and my burner is an lg multi burner, it has the newest firmware jlo3, and i use nero for data with burning rom or express, and the nerovision for movies, my burns are always failing though.. that's why i want to know how to set the speed to lower than 4x cuz 4x doesn't burn correctly.

    On the last screen in burning rom or express you should be able to lower or pick your burn speed. In vision under recorder settings.
    Post your last Nero log and we can take a look to see what might be causing the burn failures.
    The logs are located here:
    Nero 6: program files>ahead>nero>nerohistory.txt
    Nero 7: program files>nero>nero 7>core>nerohistory.txt
    Just be sure to edit out your serial # - they usually begin w/ 1A, 1C,5C.
    The logs are separated by something like this:
    =====***NeroAPI Burning History***=====
