Hello All! I have a new laptop and cannot burn dvd's on it. I have tried all types of media including Tayo Yuden and I still have no luck. I have included my nero log. Doesn't look like you have an ASPI driver installed. Here is a link to Nero's winaspi32: http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/WNASPI32.DLL.html The firmware for your drive is out dated. The latest version, QDS7, can be found here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1964 Up your burn speed to 4x. That should get you going, let us know either way. Good Luck! Edit: One other thing to look at: [/bold] You are attempting to burn too close to the outside edge of your disk. You need to use a custom output size and set it to about 4350MB.
I would also update to this stable version of Nero 7.0.8.2 from herehttp://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845 It looks like you do have ASPI installed.
@gwendolin Thanks for correcting me on the aspi thing. On my display, that line wrapped down, and I didn't pay close enough attention.
Thanks for your help. I ended up finding out (the hard way) that dvd +R's is the only media that works with my burner.
