problem with adobe premier

i use adobe premier 6 with matrox rt2000.

while premier is loading it comes to a point where it needs to load the matrox avi importer, at this point i get a message which says: premier exe has generated errors u will need to restart the machine. even after restarting i still get the same message.

i would like to know where the problem is?
