cdwr-dvd will only play incd dvd disk!!!

    Shortly after installing incd my cdwr-dvd player started acting up.
    Now it will only play a dvd formated with incd.I've tried everything short of dynomite. i've reinstalled xp,tried using it in safe mode,updated the firmware, removed high and low filters.Is the deck bad??? Can somebody pls. help.

    I guess some questions are in order. You are saying your DVD drive will not play commercial DVDs?

    Have you tried uninstalling InCD since it isn't needed unless you want to run the drive like a hard drive?

    Why do you even have a DVD that was formatted with InCD, it isn't necessary? If InCD is controlling the drive, it might be messing you up.

    When you reinstalled windows, did you do a clean install or over the top of the old version?

    And last, a suggestion--if you have uninstalled InCD and you did not do a clean install of WinXP, you might try uninstalling the DVD drive and reinstalling.

    Definitely get rid of InCD. It causes a lot of problems.

    It won't play any other cd or dvd just the incd dvd. i was using incd to drag and drop files. I uninstalled incd that didn't work so i did a clean install of windows. this is on a laptop but i'll try removing the drive and reinstalling. is it posible that the drives bad?

    If you have Nero installed, do you know which version you have, some cersions of Nero6 and Nero7 contain bugs.

    Just in case, don't put any InCD discs in the drive until you test it with other media first.

    I wouldn't think the drive is bad, maybe just has something messed up.
