I have just started using nerovision express and have found that when I add audio (mp3 song) to my video or slideshow it has a popping sound to it when I play it back. Will this burn to the dvd and does anyone know what it might be. I had used the same song file in a Windows movie maker project and saved it to my computer then added that whole file to my nero project and it sounded fine that way, any ideas?

You might check the below, it seems to be in reference to VIA drivers causing problems. You might give some additional information about your system, and even post a NeroHistory.xxx located in the Core directory. On my system it is a .log file but is a text file and can be read by notepad.

You Nero logs can be found here:

Nero 6 history log location: Program Files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.txt

Nero 7 history log location: Program Files>Nero>Nero 7>Core>NeroHistory.txt

@LOCOENG, Thanks for the confirmation of Nero log locations, I was recently taken to task by a member in a PM telling me I was wrong but it appears HE was the one who was wrong, Cheers.

This is really silly to do this on an open forum, but even though Gwendolin is probably right, I got this from the Nero Site:

There is probably more than one extension for the file, depending on where you are located or the version of the software being used. Just like whether 7.2.0.3 or 7.2.0.3b showed in the logs.

That is an excellent find...me thinks I will update my responsed in the future. It is also highly possible that different version yeild different placements, at the same time the end user could be directing the logs to be saved in a different location (I know I have), the instructions given previously are generic and aimed to get the poster headed in the right direction.

@Saltgrass, as NO names were mentioned then no rules were broken, everyone I know here at AD refers members to the same location to find log files, not too many have come back saying they cannot locate them.
I really dont care what Nero says, I do believe they have been wrong and made errors in the past, just look at their last release of Nero7.

Thank you for the advice, I will try that. I did notice that the problem is only with mp3's. when I use wma file there3 is no problem. Does Nero have a problem using mp3's?

I was making slideshows and movies recently with Nero, and I remember the music doing the same thing. But when I burned it and put it in the DVD player, it played just fine. I don't know why it did that, but it worked just fine.
