I am wondering if this is possible to do. First off awhile back my hard drive broke on start up and I never got it to work again. After putting in a new one it was a nightmare getting stuff loaded back on it. My questions is this..Can I buy another hard drive and hook it up to my Sata motherboard and use something like Ghost to make a mirror image of my C drive? If I can, I could put it on a shelf and if the drive crapped out I could just pop in the new spare one. Also, could I put that hard drive in another computer and it work? Would there be a conflict in cmos? Kind of like when you put in a new hard drive and try to use software that came with another computer to rebuild.Just wondering...could you take a good working hard drive and move it to another computer and it work?
