I had nero 6.6 express vision 3. and was able to burn divx movies with no problem. I upgraded to nero 7 and havent been able to anything since. I took my computer back to before i upgraded and it wont even preview the movie. It wont say there is an error but i know it is not burning anything ! I just bought nero6.6 thinking maybe the programs were bogus but now im stuck! please help!
Some versions of Nero6 were buggy as were some of Nero7, do you know which version you have. Before the upgrade from 6 to 7 you MUST uninstall Nero6, run this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html and then install Nero7 but DO NOT install 7.2.0.3 or 7.2.0.3b, they are buggy, install 7.0.8.2 from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845 BTW If you have already installed Nero7 you will have to do the same thing, uninstall , run THIS clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then re install
i thought that the version i purchased was 6.6 it comes with vision express 3. the movies dont want to play on nero showtime either not even on my media player only on divx media player.I am a newbie so the even knowing the version may be difficult. is there a difference between vision express 3 and vision express se?
There are several versions of Nero6.6, open NeroStartSmart and click on get system info and it will tell you your version, also it should be on the packaging of your Nero. The reason for asking is that some versions are buggy.
OK thanks for that, unfortunately thats the version that is "buggy". Uninstall it, run clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html and then install this older more stable version http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe and once that is done try your project once again
Ok hopefully that will work. My boyfriend needs to use the internet but when i do it later will i still be able to be in contact if there are any problems?
I totally agree with Gwendolin, Nero 6 version 6.6.1.4 is very "Buggy". 6.6.0.18 is Stable. I had to do the same thing. Uninstall ALL my Nero 6. Run the Clean Tool. Re-Install Nero 6 (Leave out INCD!) Update with 6.6.0.18. All is well. no worries. I also used the Vision Express Update Gwendolin provided too. Stick with these versions and all will be good. P.S. Be SURE you do NOT install INCD. Many problems reported with this. Besides, you do not need that program. By the way, I would SAVE those Nero updates Gwendolin provided on a CD-R for Future use if needed. I did, and I keep them with my Purchased Nero 6 Ultra. Never know when you may need to re-format your HDD.
