i was reinstalling windows xp and my cpu froze during the time and now when i start up windows xp it comes up with error loading operating system. i cannot load from the cd rom anymore either because it does not come up with the option to do so. please help
restart your computer and hit the setup button which may be del or f2 may be others but those are favourite when you get into setup select the cdrom as first boot restart and install your windows keep an eye on the heat cpu's are not meant to freeze
how do i get to the option to set cd rom as first start up? the options are standard CMOS features advanced bios features advanced chipset features \ integrated peripherals power management setup Pnp/PCI Configurations PC Health Status i looked but could not find it
i found it but now right before the error loading operating system thing it says boot from atapi CDROM
nevermind i found it thanks for your help the only problem is that it still freezes so i'll keep an eye on it
