I have W98SE installed, I can install Nero 7.0.0.0 & INCD 5, but any higher version of nero installs ok, but will not allow me to install INCD5 - the appropriate box is not there, either as a custom install or as a change to the installed components.
The only difference I can see between 7.0.0.0 and later versions is the original version was purchased on a cdrom and contains the usual setup.exe program and folders files etc.
Later versions only have one file that expands and then runs the usual setup etc.
If it helps I will install and provide installation logs for 7.0.0.0 & any later version.
Thanks in advance any help would be appreciated

Well, I found some things in the user PDF file-see if anything fits your situation.

You cannnot install InCD 5 if you have an earlier version - no updates from earlier versions.

You must uninstall any other packet writing software, but you should get a message for this one.

For Win98/Me users-InCD is not compatible with the "Adaptec CD-Burning Plug-in" installed with Windows Media Player 7.x or higher

You must have a registered version of either Nero or Nero Express to install it.
