Hello all, I'm using Nero Vision to burn the Mr. Bean episodes onto DVD. I put in about 5 episodes on one DVD with the Long Play option selected. The meter on the bottom says I've used 4.1GB out of 4.38GB. (I wanted to write to the hard drive first.) When it was finished transcoding, the whole VideoTS folder was 5.92 GB. Can anyone help me out with this or suggest a better program for me? Thanks.
Well, NeroVision seems to be having problems with certain types of files, like .avi encoded in certain ways. It looks like it might even be making some files larger than they were to start with. Many people have gone to using another program to at least encode the files first. It seems ConvertX or something like that has been mentioned. Maybe an update to NeroVision will help, whenever it comes out!
An AVI file of around 700mb, once transcoded by Nero turns out to around 3gb, which is a normal length movie of around 2 hours. If you wish to fit your project onto a DVD5 then you can alter the bit rate to suit. Open NVE, click on more, video options and you will get this screen Select Custom and then adjust bit rate.
