hi all could some1 please help me i put a 256 dimm into my pc then started to delete all items i didnt think i needed, and now i have realised i have no sound from my pc??? not sure what i have done can some1 please help?. ive checked speakers and they dont seem bad but when you start windows you get the windows sound on start up my dosnt work??. please please please help i might of deleted something.
Likely your soundcard driver. Find out your soundcard model, go to the manufacturer's website, and download the driver. That should do the trick.
hi thanks done that still no sound and i get this error?? windows cannot play the sound %systemroot%\media windows xp battery critical.wav. your sound card maybe in use. ??? please help im stuck just a newbie to pc.
Have you tried going to a Restore Point, before the problem started? Sometimes that helps............ Good luck!

hi my pc is a packard bell i media, and i think my sound card is a standard card i havnt put my own card in,i looked in my pc and all i can see is sigma tel audio, i think this might be my sound card.
