Hi, I need help with an Old Compa Presario 2120, its for my little sister and i need it at last with WIN98SE but the problem are the drivers, and the internet connection, it only has a modem jack, and cant Find the drivers for Video, Audio, Display and Modem. In fact I've been trying alot of drivers and the only result its been a system crash and then a Blue screen.....and all of you knows what goes on....THX for any help you colud give me........
Why oh why would anybody buy a COMPAQ!? Bleh!! I'm not really sure what your particular problem is. If it only has a modem jack and you're attempting to connect it to your LAN then I'm sure you can get a PCMIA ethernet card. As for the drivers, you're going to have a hard time finding them for an old Presario running 98. I would backup anything she wants then wipe it clean and install Windows 2000 or XP if you must. Good luck.
If you "Google" Compaq Presario 2120 drivers you'll have lots of sources for your drivers. Here is a sample: http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=67953 http://www.softlookup.com/driveauthor.asp?id=176 http://www.driversplanet.com/comput...ario+2120+Desktop+PC/drivers.aspx?model=26420 http://www.modem-drivers.com/companies/236.htm Good luck!
the computer has WIN95 originally instaled and yes I still have the cd but the drivers there are only for windows 95 and Im trying installing at least 98SE, but that is the problem I havent found the drivers: Audio: Genreic Windows Audio Device (Says whe it has WIN95) Video: Cyrix GX (Says whe it has WIN95) Modem: Presario 336-DF Modem Display: Compaq V400 THX
