I have Prison Break series 1 in avi/xvid format.

Im trying to convert the file with Arabic subs (my mother cant understand english all that well)..now so far its easy, ive read the 2 guides (VS0 & avi to dvd) and followed every step.

The problem occours when im done converting and etc..whenever i go to play the dvd, the subs appear as jibberish.

    Example: Ãíãßääí Ãä...ÃáÞí äÙÑÉ Úáíå¿

Im not sure why, SRT and SUB files open in notepad, could that be the reason since notepad doesnt have the arabic font? im out of ideas, lol ive done like 8 cds now.

My first method involved using DVDsanta and adding the subs (but the subs didnt show instead a green box where the subs were supposed to be).

after that i followed the guides.

am i missing a codec? a Microsoft office plugin for arabic font? (when i run SRT2SUP and fix the settings the font changes to arabic but on the dvd it ends up jibberish..

    Any help would be appreciated.

Easiest way is to use unicode, assuming that VSO supports unicode. Otherwise, with ANSI you need to make sure that VSO is using the correct character set or you get weird characters as you have seen.
