hi guys when i try to install patch for oblivion, on 4% or 7% it says "Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match." in earlier patches when the message comes it skipps it and installs the rest, but the newest stops installing after message game is set to hi settings so it is not a problem with weak video card or something like this any help appreciated
You have a no cd crack.It did that to me too.Just rename the original launcher back to it's real name and after the patch you can change it back.You do still have the original right? many people replace the original with the crack but I rename the original.So i have it around In case of a jam...
nooooo i overwrote him wiht the no-cd one well actually i can jsut uninstall it and install it back so i ll have original then i install patch and then i can overwrite no-cd again, right? btw, is patch really fixes crashing? coz that's happenin to me after i play for a while thanks
Yeah ...what I do is rename the original and then Copy and paste the crack into the folder it works great.This way you still have the original in case something like this happens.And if it does you just rename the original back to it's real name and then patch and after words rename it again so the crack works.. As far as the patch it probably will solve your game from crashing but I can't guarantee it because I don't know whats making it crash.There are lot's of bug fixes in the new patch. yeah if you don't have the original one I'm affraid you'll need to reinstall the game.
yep i forgot to write it patch was installed with no problems i renamed original one extracted crack thanks btw; it's still crashing though
Oh that sucks maybe a future patch will address your needs as far as crashing. I should clarify we don't discuss pirating on ad so I hope you got an image of a copy you purchased.I just don't want you to get banned from here.Have fun
