ok im really confused i have a dell dimension 4300 and from what i've found i have PCI Slots and not AGP, however a few years ago I updated my video card to a cheaper but better then factory radeon and from what it says it is an AGP card, I'm looking to upgrade to a good high end card but im not sure what will work for my system.... please help, thanks in advance
Most pc's either have combo's of agp and pci,pci express and pci,and pci express and agp.Actually if you know what your motherboard is I'll tell you what you have. If you have pci you will need a pci card, it's the same with pci express and agp.You have to have more than just pci....you have either pci express or agp somewhere! The pci express slot will look a little different than regular pci so check it out.
i checked it out and i looked at the slots, the slot my video card is looks different then the other slots on the motherboard, i dont know which motherboard it is just whatever came standard with my dell, im thinking that the slot with the video card in it is AGP while the others are PCI, i just wasnt aware this was possible until i read your reply, thank you very much
