Is your card dvi-d or dvi-i?
Do you have a monitor and the hdtv(dual monitors) or just the hdtv?

By the way you will need to update your drivers and catalyist control center to the newest version by going here http://www.ati.com/

many times just going into the catalyist control center and tinkering with the tv portion of it will get you the results you want.It has a great help button with all the info you need.Heres an example:

If you have dual monitors this will fix it.

After you updated go into catalyist control center and go to display options and check "force tv detection".From there go to display managers and click detect display's then clone the desktop(right click the little box)with the tv.Also swapping display mapping(again right click the little box)will work wonders.
