Some files cannot be defraged because they are too big to fit on the cache reserved for defragging. Once upon a time I knew how to make this cache bigger, but I forgot. I'll check it out to see if it can find it. Anyway, big files it will not defrag, nor files too currupt to access. In this ocasion, you need some recovery program, or just delele the file. However, it is very unusual for files to be corrupt to the point where they can't even be formated. In most likelyness it is due to oversized files.
