Best Mini-dv for indoor shooting

We shoot lots of footage indoor - especially in an Entertainment type club on holiday.
I had a Canon MV700 , which was okay for this, but wonder if the Sony's are paticularily better than the Canons for this ?

Having had the MV700 for just 2 years before it packed up, Im tempted away from Canon , but willing to give them a 2nd chance mainly because they do a reasonably priced one that does Analogue-in (the MV960).
However , if the Sony DCHRC 35 is much better for inddor shooting , then that may sway me (and I appreciate the CZeiss lenses are tops).
