I cannot seem to use Ryu's profile on MeGUI0.3.1.1056.
I tried putting the xml files in the profiles/video subdirectory manually and it says it cannot load them.
I tried importing from the zip file and they don't show up in the box to check off.
Any thoughts?
Ryu77, I thought I did read somewhere that the newer builds of x264 will not support a slew of previous commands, which is why most of your profiles are now stipped down. I had to revert back to MeGUI 3.1.1053 to get your profiles back... however I know that I cannot get the latest x264. Just search this site for MeGUI and 3.1.1053 can be downloaded here.
duckwood, You can just copy/paste the .xml files from the extracted zip file and place them in the MeGUI installation directory... be sure to place them in allprofiles/x264. I had the hardest time doing this myself, for some reason the would automatically delete after doing this. I ended up copying the whole x264 folder into the MeGUI installation directory and overwriting the existing one, that seemed to do the trick.
But beware, Ryu77's new profiles at the moment are not compatible with the x264 build that comes with MeGUI v3.1.1056... see my comment above in this very post.
I backed up G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra blu-ray to my hard drive using DVDFab.
I then used BD Rebuilder to shrink it down to fit a BD-R disc. BD Rebuilder seemingly worked perfectly and I burned the disc using both IMGBurn and Nero Burning Rom with UDF 2.50.
I tried the disc on my PC and it worked perfectly fine with PowerDVD. When I tried the disc in my PS3, the icon for G.I. Joe was displayed on the menu, but when I went to play the disc it just does a black screen. I've used the info button to watch what it does and it does go through several titles before it gets to a point where it freezes. From there I can't do anything other than quite playback.
The retail disc plays perfectly fine in the PS3, so I'm not sure what is going on. I don't know if there is some BD-Live thing that's acting funny or what, but I do know that if I run AnyDvdHD with the disc in my PC and I select "Disable BD-Live" and then run it in PowerDVD it also does only a black screen (but doesn't go through as many titles before stopping).
Is there something on my PS3 that's disabling BD-Live? I can't figure this one out at all. All my other backups play fine, it's only GI Joe having this issue.
