The newly launched Windows Vista (which is still in it's beta stage), is going to be a big system hog, I think.
I've heard that it requires atleast 512MB of RAM and 128MB of Video Memory (I'm guessing that 'Video Memory' means the RAM in the Graphic card). Does this mean that it will consume the ENTIRE 512MB + 128MB?
My system is no monster. I dont have a dual-core processor or a superfast grahhic card. I have 768MB RAM and 128MB Video Memory. So if it eats up the mem. shown above, I'll have 256MB RAM and 0(zero)MB Video Memory left for other apps. How will I use other memory intensive programs and high-end games then?

    Thanks for the prog.

However my question was that if any program says that it's minimum system requirements are 512MB, does it mean that it will use up the entire 512MB everytime?
