avi

i download two movies that are avi form, but i cannot see it, Quicktime player is saying that it does not have software needed to play the movie

what can i do now?

Flip4Mac 2.1.0.29 Intel (http://rapidshare.de/files/24382106/Flip.zip.html)

Now you should be able to play .avi, .avi with AC3 sound and .wmv files with QT

 

it is saying that it could not open because the system is incompatible
g4, 10.2.8 is what i have

 

Thought you had an Intel Mac.

3ivX (http://www.3ivx.com/download/macos.html)

AC3 Codec (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/22994)

With these you can play .avi and .avi with AC3 sound in QT.

 

i dont get it,maybe am stupid, the open with microsoft word, and the other 2 are not compatable

 

You can also try VLC, plays pretty much everything I throw at it.
