hello everyone. okay so i need a lot of help of how to connect my computer to my TV. I want to be abble to play my movies, video clips, games, and display pics from my computer on to my TV. How do i go about doing this? where do i start? ive looked on the other forums but i keep getting confused as to what cables/things i need to set this up.

    heres my situation:
-i have a ATI Radeon 9250 video card. it has a TV-OUT, DVI-I Support, and up to 256MB DDR Memory. This is a PCI video card. i cant fit/put in any other type of video card because its a Dell Server (PowerEdge SC430).
-My tv can support a s-video cable and the red-yellow-white cable.

    thanks

nvm, i got it to work... ijust had to go to svhs mode..
but i still have a few problems:
    1. i cant play video on my TV even though it comes on my computer.
    2. if i play some audio/video from my pc, will i also hear the sound through my TV speakers?

problem 1: have you changed the properties on your video card to show the TV as the display?

problem 2: not sure how your hardware is set up but I ran seperate audio cables from my sound card to the tv and it worked fine.

ok ive got the video to show on my computer. before, it would only show on my computer. now ive changed to where it shows only on my tv now but not on my computer.is that how its suppose to be?

my audio isnt working. i hear the audio only on my pc and never on my TV ( this includes when the video is playing on the TV). In my video card, i have a VGA slot, montiro slot(full), and the s-video slot that im currently using. i have speakers for my pc which are conencted into my sound card. how can i add the audio to my tv? do i need seperatte wires or soemthing?

    thanks

It sounds like you need cables to connect from sound card to tv. On mine, I have a s-video cable to the tv for video and seperate cables from my PC audio to the tv for, obviously, the audio.

You'll only need the red and white cables if your sound card supports RCA. The yellow cable is a video cable.
