    Can any body tell me how to make a dos bootable disket so that i can update my bios ?

    well can i update the bios with the dos disket and the bios updates in it , couse i tried with the dos diskt and the bios updates in it and it didnt work so may be i didnt do something properly ?

    Are you talking about updating the BIOS of your motherboard? If so, what make and model is it? The BIOS on some motherboards can be updated through windows. I do it with my ASUS mobo.

    also possible the bios update is disabled in the bios or a jumper on the motherboard. i do that so a virus can't get into the bios nor have the bios update it self as could be using a corrupted file. have a couple of boards scrapped by a friend when it auto updated the bios wrong.

    well my mother board make is gigabyte and the model is GA-60XET and i downloaded the bios updates from the gigabyte website but i do not know hot to update it . can you help me ?
