Strange little question for you all. In the guide for converting DVDs to Xvid with AC3, in the section on Audio and Video interweaving, VirtualDubMod is used. So what. Well, aparently VirtualDubMod is supposed to have an Audio menu. I'm using the latest version 1.5.somthing, and for the life of me can't find the menu. It should just be blatently obvious up up by the Video menu, but it's not.

    Something dumb or something else?

Arg. Nevermind. It helps if you use VirtualDub AC3 instead of Mod.

in that version you have to go to Streams>Stream List. Click Add and select your audio stream and then after it appears you can right click on it for interleaving, etc.

I currently have the same problem.

Someone needs to update these advise directories to reflect new versions coming out.

In this column it says do download 3 different programs to accomplish this task. If you think not being able to find the Audio Tab is a problem, just wait till you have to use the next program. Once you figure out how to SAVE AS WAVE in virtualDubmod (which I aint yet) then you have to choose a audio source in the next program, that doesn't exist!!!

Anyway, I found this link and will try it tonight. http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/91588.php

Hope it helps, Meanwhile I have to keep plugging away.

When will TMPGE be able to handle ac3?

    I could do it.
The new version of virtualdubmod doesnt have the audio menu.

    You should do this
    open the video file normally.
Instead of going to the audio menu, go to the STREAMS menu.
    select stream list
and save wav on the right side of the screem.
dont forget to change the name and the extension to .ac3 or ogg.

    hope u can do it
