hello all i'm new here, and i would be very grateful if somebody could assist me with my problem. i've searched the site for the same problem, found nothing. problem is as follows : i have recently installed nero 7 premium on my machine, and am having a problem with burning anything with my dvd writer. i have an lg dvd writer installed in a machine running windows xp sp2. the error message i'm getting from nero whenever i try to burn something is :"this version of nero only supports verbatim cd/dvd drives." what the? please help if possible.
Hello. Where did you get the copy of Nero? Did you doenload it from Nero.com. I'd try running the Nero 7 Clean Tool and then downloading and runnning Nero 7.0.8.2 from here: http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845 You can also post your NeroHistory log to this thread. That may give us a clue as well as to what's causing the problem. The log is in this path: Program Files > Nero > Nero7 > Core > NeroHistory. Delete the program serial number before posting. The log contains the results of the last several burns attempted. It is only necessary to post that portion of the log that deals with this burn. If you've only tried this for the first time, post the entire log. Otherwise, each section begins with a header followed by your Nero program serial number.
