ok, i got this bundle from realhotstuff: http://www.realhotstuff.com/minisd-adapter-passcard3-bundle-p-83.html and this miniSD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820134021 is this a good set? on a scale of 1-5 (5 being high), would this set rank as a 4 or 5? i hope its not less *edit* oh yea, im using a new American DS Lite.
That's teh exact set I got. I just got it today in the mail, ordered it on july 4th. But! You could have gotten the card at buy.com for 19.99! Still worth it though so i give 5/5.
Newb question: I can use this with the M3 SD version, correct? Since it comes with the adapter and everything For those of you looking for the buy.com deal, here you go: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=202152401&loc=101&sp=1
Yeah, you can use that. I'd just get it off Newegg though since the $19.95 is after a mail-in rebate. Meaning, you'll have to pay the full price ($33.95) and wait for the $14 rebate in the mail. I wouldn't bother with it.
it ends up being only a $2 difference between the Buy.com price and Neweggs..plus why not take a chance at that $14 rebate?
cause... like all mail-in rebates ive ever gotten... ill forget to mail it thats where they stick it to ya
Exactly. Plus if you wait too long it could expire before they receive it in the mail. Might want to check whether that expiration is based on the day you mail it or the day they receive it.
the offer ends on July 15th to receive the rebate, and the rebate must be postmarked within 30 days of purchase. So on July 16th the rebate will not be available through Buy.com, but I can still redeem it until August 15th (if I buy it on July 15th) I always send in my rebates
From looking at the page, this looks like it'll work with both the original DS and the new DS lite, is that correct? Kendrstew
Yup. The only problem with loading on a DS Lite and newer DS models is that the PassKey had to programmed for each game. However, the third generation PassMe's such as Passcard3, Max Media Launcher, and SuperKey are strictly plug and play, so programming is no longer an issue.
the bundle from realhot was a little over $109 USD, i think i picked the shipping that was one above the cheapest... and it only took 3 days. I live on the east coast in the US. From new egg, it was a little over $35 USD... i picked the $8 shipping which was a waste since it still took 6 days to get here. so for about $145 USD, i got everything i needed (not including the SD reader which i already had) I have to say, its the best investment i have made since i bought my car Lets put it this way... for $145 you turn your NDS in to a video iPod and PDA, with as many NDS, GBA, GB, and NES games that you can find. All this right out of the box. Plus still has potential to be many more things in the future (homebrew possibilties are endless)...
