I have downloaded my Mini DV to my PC using Windows Movie Maker. File format is wmv. Using Roxio Easy CD creator 5 to burn the file to a DVD-R I get the message" The file ---------.wmv will not work in a VCD player. To make this file CD compliant you will need to use an MPEG encoder that supports Video CD encoding." How do I do this using TMPGEnc XPress. I need someone to lead me by the hand as all the terms used in TMP are confusing to my non technical mind.

In windows movie maker, save the file as an ".avi"

Then download the program VSO Divx to DVD.

Open up the program and select the .avi file you just made.
Convert it, (the time it takes to do it depends on how long your movie is.)
When its done, take that file and open up nero or your favorite dvd burning program and burn it.
