ok,ever since i cleaned out my pc etc and replaced stuff... the temp is much lower, but now the cpu fan idles on aroudn 2500-3200rpm,but the second i start playing any kind of games,eg(today i was playing the prey demo) my pc instantly increase cpu heat by 20 degrees (c) and the cpu fan starts spinning at bout 5000+rpm and it makes horrilbe noizes, the fan is so loud it pisses me off...what's the problem, how do i solve this?
Did you put new heat transfer gel on the heat sink? EDIT>Reason I asked is that if you use a thicker medium, I use ultra silver, it may take a couple of days for it to even out and transfer effectively.
um i applied a new heat transfer paste(brand:unick)($2 on ebay),it is fairly thick...but i know it takes a while to harden, and yeah i'm completely sure it's the cpu's fan,i only have three fans, two on the rear of the box, which are quite and the cpu fan which gets really noizy when playing games...and well i don't know how long a "while" is,but i left it for 10 min without any improvements, even when i stop playing the game, the fan takes about 30 min before it comes back down to around 3000rpm and gets quite.
I think you might have applied too much on it. That is a mistake a lot of people make. You should take off the paste, reapply a small amount and spread it so that its a thin coating. Try that anbd check back. Use some artic silver 5. That's always something good to use. Try it and check back.
